The Power of Sacred Organizing:
Most people do not realize the powerful affect the state of their living space is having on their health, state of mind, and overall well-being. Your relationship to "stuff" and the state of your home is a window into your internal reality.
Marie Kondo --The Japanese Tidying Guru, writer of the New York Times best-selling book: The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up-- puts it well: "The things we own are real. They exist here and now as a result of choices made in the past by no one other than ourselves. It is dangerous to ignore them or to discard them indiscriminately as if denying the choices we've made."
We must honestly face the decisions we've made in the past in order to transform our present relationship with life itself. We must heal the wounded and disconnected places inside of ourselves that are expressed through our unhealthy relationship to "stuff". If you want to live a life of joy and passion, then the objects that surround you must activate these feelings in your being.
If they don't, get rid of them.
If our aim is to make life sacred and to feel the sacred in each moment, then how we relate to the world of objects and the space in which we live is of vital significance. The things we own are an extension of ourselves, and our relationship with them is a relationship with the Sacred. Tidying up our homes and evolving our relationship with stuff has dramatic effects on our state of consciousness and as mentioned our health and well-being.
The simple process of tidying up has surprisingly transformative effects. Through this process, a vast quantity of information about who you are and the values that guide your life are powerfully brought to the surface. What was hidden beneath the foundation of your relationship to stuff is uncovered and given light, space, and air to breathe. This then allows for powerful transformations to occur, as the root causes of this relationship are addressed and healed. Thus the life-changing magic of tidying up.
In Marie Kondo's book she describes everything that I speak of above --and more-- in great detail. From my work with this book and expanding on the concepts within it from a spiritual and developmental perspective, I have developed this offering of "Creating Sacred Space" to address this commonly overlooked need which now demands immediate attention from a consumer culture plagued with too much unnecessary "stuff" and a systemically diseased relationship to this "stuff".

Sacred Space: An Alchemical Process
Instead of just getting someone to come and organize your home and throw out all the vast accumulation of items from your past which no longer serve any use, Sacred Space offers you the opportunity to explore the depths of your relationship with stuff and transform it at the very core.
Basic physics tells us that everything is energy, and basic spirituality and mysticism tell us that everything is God or Sacred. Our current culture is built upon the separation of spirit & matter. If we want to transform our lives we must transform the way in which we relate to all matter --for matter is spirit, is energy. In order to do this we must learn how to see and honor the spirit in all matter; to respect the energy of each object in our possession; to relate to it as if it were alive, vibrating with a will of its own. As Marie Kondo writes, "Everything you own wants to be of use to you."
Your home can and should be your sanctuary, a place where you are reminded of who you truly are and why you are here. Your home should feel like a sacred space, that energizes and renews your spirit after a long day of focusing on your work in the world. Whether you work from home or somewhere else, your living space can become an expression of your soul, spirit and sacred purpose. Your home can truly become a spiritual sanctuary nourishing you on all levels.
The dramatic effects of engaging successfully in this process are quite surprising and astounding. As expressed in Kondo's book --and through my firsthand work with clients-- through the process of tidying up and deeply committing to this transformational work people enjoy many of the following results:

As expressed in Kondo's book --and through my firsthand work with clients-- through the process of tidying up and deeply committing to this transformational work people enjoy many of the following results:
- The experience of tidying causes people to become more passionately involved in their work.
- People's physical, mental, emotional and overall health and well-being greatly improve.
- They feel an inner spaciousness, a sense of lightness, and more clarity and direction in their lives.
- They have more ability to receive and welcome what is next, an energy of hope and inspiration to these take new steps, and more space for creativity and inner pursuits
- Putting your house in order is a good way to discover what you love to do! "When I put my house in order I discovered what I really want to do", exclaim clients.
- As a result of tidying, daily life becomes more exciting!
- Tidying increases confidence in decision-making capacity and capability; one dramatically gains confidence through the process of tidying.
- Clients become extremely grateful to be surrounded by the things they love and that bring them joy.
- One becomes more aware, in tune with, and appreciative of the people in their lives, realizing how unique, special, precious and dear each person is.
- Tidying up makes more space for “an attitude of gratitude” to fill your life. Amazingly, the more “stuff” we let go of, the more room we have for appreciating the many, many gifts that make up our lives.
Sacred Space: How We Work Together
In your initial consultation, we will explore and address your current relationship with your material things. We will look at the roots of how you accumulated what you now have: the various phases of your life that still echo and resound in the material possessions that fill your life.
After this in-depth consultation, I will then craft a comprehensive proposal for our work together. Once we've made an agreement and the initial fee has been paid, we will then create a schedule for the entire process. We will meet in person at your home on scheduled dates and I will support you through the detailed system of tidying up.
In addition, I will work with you on a psycho-spiritual level as we address the internal challenges and developmental opportunities for transformation that arise as a result of authentically engaging with this process. Our work together will require at least 3 follow-up sessions, one week after completion of tidying, 3 months and six months. There will also be an opportunity to schedule more follow-up sessions as needed.
From this process, you will begin to experience the freedom, newness, lightness, ease, and joy—from the magical yet simple process of “tidying up.”
Fee Structure:
Every client embodies a unique situation requiring different needs for the transformational process of Sacred Space.
