MeI live in Berkeley, CA with my wife Shayna, and our daughter Emunah. I am committed to a path of Grounded Spirituality and dedicate each day to the spiritual practice of making life into a prayer, striving to live each moment and interaction as a Song of the Sacred. I am a teacher, guide and an eternal student of life --one who gets great satisfaction from midwifing other souls on their path to wholeness. When I am not working or spending time with my family and community, I love to be immersed in nature, drumming, singing, dancing or making art. |
Who I AM |
I have been walking this path as a dedicated spiritual practitioner for nearly two decades. Since I was a small boy I was devoted to Spirit, my own evolution and the well-being of this planet and the biological life forms that inhabit it. I am grateful for my path and the clarity of purpose that has matured me to a place where I can now support people in bridging the world of Spirit with the world of Matter through integrating inner realizations with outer manifestations.
For too long I hid out in the spiritual realm of "Ultimate Reality", bypassing my fear of the challenging, painful and dark material of daily life and survival in the marketplace. With skilled support from therapy and spiritual counseling I was able to face these inner demons by making friends with them rather than avoiding them and wishing they'd just leave me alone. By accepting and embracing the places where I felt deficient and turning my challenges into my Life's Curriculum I was able to transform the habitual patterns that were draining my life-force and keeping me locked into a disempowered default future. As a result, the renewed energy and empowerment that I experienced accelerated my development and activated my passion for life! With these unintegrated parts now firmly in place, I was able to see my future and create a private practice dedicated to serving others on the journey of Grounded Wholeing. |
My History |
Born and raised an orthodox Jew in Providence, RI gave me a solid foundation in service and morality, with Spirit at the center of my being and the guiding force in my life. Once at Art school in Boston my consciousness expanded to a more world-centric, and eventually cosmo-centric, perspective of Judaism --and all world religions-- as the evolutionary path of The Great Human Tradition.
In October 1998 I committed myself to the spiritual path of awakening and transformation. After a powerful experience of sustained awakening in the year 2000, I became a Yoga instructor and moved to Tsfat Israel for 6 years to study Kabbalah. This became my path and practice to universal awakening and grounded wholeness. Before leaving Israel I met my future wife and moved to Berkeley to begin teaching. After exploring the Rabbinic path I discovered Hashpa'ah: Jewish Spiritual Direction which pointed me toward my life's work of becoming a Spiritual Counselor and starting my own practice. |
My Now |
After my journey of self-exploration and self-discovery, built upon the foundations of my spiritual path and childhood upbringing, I have landed in an all-encompassing spiritual perspective that is completely embracing of all religions, spiritual paths and perspectives. Thus regardless of your personal background, religion, or unique walk of life --whether Muslim, Atheist, or any other traditions or non-tradition-- I am able to find a common ground and language in the universal themes of human development to support you on your path.
